Testimonies

Testimonies give us strength to continue on our journey.

Please send your testimonies, they may help others feel comfortable using OMS, and may also help receive the funds necessary to continue our work.

Received April 4, 2023 - A kind and appreciative email from an older sister, who followed the process diligently on OMS.

Dear ma'am,

I am so glad that the status of my profile has changed, and I am now a Candidate, able to search.
I am most grateful for the tutorials you sent, it was of a great help, but I am still going through it for more understanding.
In fact, your system of searching for a spouse is the best I have ever seen in our movement.

I am not in a hurry at all, I will wait patiently for the right person with a lot of players,
I will always get in touch, Thanks once again ma'am

Dear Maam,

Thank you so much for your constant communication. This truly gladdens me. Thank you for the resources too. I have updated the missing information and now I can see the potential candidates button.

I happen to be part of a 2nd Gen sisters matching support accountability group that began by one of the bc sisters who was inspired right after one of the retreats on the matching process done last July in North America. We are a bunch of mostly single sisters from different countries it the group also included some elder already blessed sisters who are matching supporters and we happen to be doing a study on the book you have just recommended. A chapter of Real Love in Dating every month. We are going to Chapter 9 now. It has great lessons.

Thank you for pointing it out.

Hi Anne-Marie,

How are you?

Thank you for supporting us over at Matchet and for creating OMS. Your guidelines and posting on OMS, which extend far beyond simply how to use the platform, are most useful and appreciated. Two, in particular, that have stood out for me. The first is the piece about 'race'. Like the sister you cite on your article, I too feel uncomfortable with societal labels based on some people's perception of skin color and ethnicity/'racial groups'. I am further impressed by the sister's wisdom for not offering any substitute to the labeling we currently use. I also found remarkable that you decided to remove related questions to limit candidates' inherited racial bias. Deep, sensible and empathic reflections of this nature are a further confirmation that I am indeed among my spiritual tribe. I feel very privileged to have found such an inspiring and inspired group of fellow believers.

The second post that caught my eye is the one about the thorough and meaningful process that you and your daughter adopted to select a suitable match for her. It gave me some wonderful ideas about how to proceed in a few months with my future Matching Adviser. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I felt it was important to get in touch with you to provide some positive feedback in recognition for the amazing work you are doing. I look forward to keep interacting with you on Matchet, OMS and elsewhere.

I wish you a blessed week-end. Kind regards,

Received December 10, 2020, from a Candidate who is now blessed

Dear Anne-Marie,

Have I ever told you that I didn’t expect that I could have blessing again, until my matching advisor introduced me to OMS. I felt it provided such an amazing method that encouraged me to try. OMS has helped me to step into the journey God prepared for me and you are the person who worked it.

I love the well-thought-out matching plan. I'm also grateful for the matching supporters of both sides, they did an excellent job to help us find each other and inspires me to join the matching supporter team to work with you.

I really wish I could donate more. Thank you very much for your consistency efforts and prayer.

Happy Christmas and New Year to you and your family, wishing you all the best!

Best regards,

Received December 10, 2020 from a Matching Supporter

Thank you Anne Marie,

I am grateful for your steadfastness in creating the OMS and supporting this ministry of matching and blessing. I will support you until my husband quits his job. He is still working and we can afford to give a little more in your direction.

Thanks for doing what you have all these years.

Merry Christmas, my dear sister Anne Marie!

Received September 2017 from a Candidate

Hi Anne- Marie,

I would like to let you know that I got blessed during the recent Blessing. It was done by means of parents' matching. My spouse is from ---. I participated in the ceremony in September.

I would like to thank you for the love and support you have given me on this long and tough journey. Thank you so much for encouraging me to fearlessly pursue True Parents' vision. Your support came at a time of deep strugles.

During the difficult times it meant a lot to me that a person that I had never met was urging me on and giving me love. It is because of that support that I am where I am today. I hope God gives you the strength to carry on as well as to bless you in your personal life and whatever you do.

Kind Regards

This newsletter is great. I feel this is really precious. I want to share it with the young First Gen in our community, all of whom are currently going through matching education. I feel you really highlighted some concerns they have and your words were soothing. I will share this with the community as I feel that not enough people are even aware of OMS, let alone your heart and investment behind the project. Thank you, Thank you.

Received from Candidates

I truly appreciate your concern and investment in OMS. At this time I'm waiting patiently to be interviewed by a sister in my hometown. Without your support and enthusiasm, I believe working through details to become a Candidate would have overwhelmed me. Although I began this process several years ago, and just now feel close to becoming a Candidate after 4 1/2 years, I've learned quite a bit from my Heavenly Parent about patience and sincerity.

Thank you for your constancy, effort and example. I have a dog, and it touched my heart that you showed a picture of your dog and cat in the newsletter. It is amazing how much help pets, and the creation overall have been in this family, and in helping my son and I manage stress and conflicts. He is over 15 now, but I wish I'd thought of getting a dog to walk and for my son to interact with at an earlier juncture in our life. Perhaps that's why you included their picture? Our dog is the one member of our family that we can always count on to make us laugh with or at her or at one another! When I finally get all parts of the BFM application completed, I'll begin again on the OMS site. It can't hurt to be as thorough as possible. Gratefully.

----------------

Thank you. This letter really helped free me up. I felt really understood as a young first gen. It is the reason I haven't been working on my process recently. It hurt my self-esteem and was stopping me from seeing my true value to God and his plan to restore the world. I also have grown in my understanding of the heart it takes for the advisors to provide a suggestion to me and I will respect that much more moving forward.
